When we hear a demand, many of us have an automatic tendency either to rebel or to comply. But this often doesn’t get us where we want. If we comply, we give up on what we would really like. If we rebel, we may or may not get what we want immediately, but we end up paying further down the line.
Whether we are dealing with a small day to day situation like the one that I share in this 5 minute video, or a much bigger scenario personally or professionally, thinking about needs can help us find more fruitful ways forward.
